Highly rated Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has revealed that fans of the senior national team of Nigeria have been sending him messages to dump England for Nigeria since it was revealed that he has Nigerian roots.
Jones mixed heritage makes him eligible to represent Nigeria despite the fact that he was born in England and have also represented them at several youth levels.
The girlfriend of the 21 year old posted his Nigerian heritage on Instagram and according to the player who is currently a junior international with the England says messages have been sent to him since his Nigerian roots was made public.
“I have gotten messages and it’s real interesting that fans of the national team think so highly of me. They are very passionate of their team”, he said in a podcast monitored by our editorial team.
