The guardian of Nigeria U-23 forward Theophilus Solomon has rubbished reports in the Israeli media that the 20 year old has agreed a move to Israeli side Hapoel Ranana.
Yesterday they were reports in the Israeli media that the HNK Rijeka forward who spent the just concluded season on loan at second division side Sibenik has put pen to paper on a five year deal with the modest Israeli side.
Owngoalnigeria.com sort to hear from his guardian who although appears not willing to give out anything with claims he was on the road traveling to Kano, finally accepted to speak in the early hours of this morning.
“Hapoel Ranana are one of the teams chasing him but all options are still open although we have a contract proposal from them that we are studying since last week but nothing is done yet” Mohammed Suleiman told Owngoalnigeria.com.
“I won’t mention any team but aside two teams from Israel they are teams in Germany,Turkey,Switzerland and Portugal that have spoken to us about him and I can assure you he is leaving Rijeka this summer and in the coming days you will know his next move”.
Once on the radar of Juventus, he is reportedly the top target for Hadjuk Split and talks with his management team will be held this weekend with reports circulating that he is keen to remain in Croatia.
News from the Croatian media has it that top league side Hadjuk Split have also held high level talks with Rijeka over his transfer although Solomon insist he is a free agent following the expiration of his two year deal.
The scorer of 14 goals this season for Sibenik has an automatic two year contract extension embedded in his recently expired contract by Rijeka but according to legal experts the extension is illegal.
