The family of Stephen Keshi have released a statement via e-mail confirming his death in the early hours of Wednesday.
Keshi’s brother Emmanuel Ado who also doubles as the agent to the late Super Eagles coach sent a mail to Owngoalnigeria.com confirming his death which according to the e-mail was caused by cardiac arrest as he was about to fly back to the USA where he is based.
The statement revealed that the former Super Eagles coach has been in Nigeria since losing his wife of 35 years, Mrs Nkem Keshi who died on the 9th of December 2015.
Since her death, Keshi has been in mourning per the statement and was planning to fly back to America today before his death.
