A disgruntled football player agent (names withheld) openly confronted coaches of the Nigeria U-17s after one of his players was dropped by the coach in continuation of the team’s screening exercise at the FIFA Goal project in Abuja.

The agent lost his cool after his ward who has been with the team from the start of screening and even went as far as making the 50 man list of players who were screened by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was asked to leave.

He accused the coaches of collecting bribes from some agent to keep their players in camp and particularly mentioned Robinson Okosun an employee of the NFF as the main culprit in his bribery allegations.

It took a combine effort of onlookers, other soccer agents and officials of the team to calm the agent down who was almost going physical with one of the assistant of head coach Manu Garba.

Garba on his part was absolved of any blame by the agent but he warned the coach to be wary of sharp practices from his assistants which according to him he has proofs to back up his claims.

Meanwhile Owngoalnigeria.com can also confirm that there’s inconsistency in the screening exercise with some players already dropped from the team returning back for screening while some picked have been asked to go despite the fact that some of them are better than the one’s retained.
