A late bid from KAS Eupen wasn’t enough to poach wantaway HNK Rijeka forward Theophilus Solomon from fellow top league side Lokeren, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Solomon who was also on the radar of Dutch side Roda JC has agreed a deal in principle to join Lokeren in what will be a swap deal between the club and Rijeka.
Last season Solomon was on loan at NK Istra and his 9 goals helped the modest side retain their top flight status, he was also nominated among the best 25 players in the league for his feat.
Known for his pace, dribbling and scoring abilities he also has the ability to set up others as evident in the six assist he picked up in the recently concluded season in Croatia.
” He will hopefully join Lokeren before the end of this month, that is why he didn’t join Rijeka for pre season. Lokeren will resume on the 18th of this month, it’s expected that his deal would have been sealed before then”, a close source to the player told Owngoalnigeria.com.
