One time Super Eagles trainee Noah Sarenren Bazee has moved from playing for Hannover 96 in the German Bundesliga to playing for the B team in the 4th division, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Bazee was viewed as a top prospect 18 months ago after his starring role for Hannover 96 in their successful promotion campaign to the Bundesliga from the second division but the 21 year old has since then struggled for form and fitness.
Since turning professional in 2016 Bazee has been bedeviled by injury although he was still able to play 25 games for Hannover 96 both in the Bundesliga and second division and it could have been more if not for the various injuries he picked up.
After a hip surgery in October, his return to the pitch was further delayed last season after he suffered a set back in April following inflammation on his knees and it kept him out for the rest of the season as even though he returned in January, same knee issue still resurfaced.
Hannover 96 were forced to demote him to the B team upon his return from injury once again with various reasons including a poor personal life style mentioned among one of the reasons why he is battling to regain full fitness.
With the B team he has been able to stay fit and even though he is training with the main team, his failure to really make an impression during pre season means he is now only a regular in the 4th division, where the B team are campaigning.
Coach Andreas Breitenreiter has charged the forward to fight his way back into the first team and shouldn’t view the demotion negatively as it part of the means they are using to help me get game time for improve his match fitness level.
Although he found the back of the net against VfB Lubeck in front of the watching Breitenreiter, the coach however downplay his performance saying his level dropped after the 60th minute mark and not until he is able to give his all for 90 minutes will he be considered good enough for the Bundesliga.
Feelers around the club has it that, if he fails to claw his way back into first team reckoning, he could be shipped out at the end of the season for a nominal fee to enable the club recoup some of their investment on the forward.
