Feelers from the camp of the senior national team of Libya suggest coach Adel Amrouche has identified Ahmed Musa as the player they should stop when they take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in back to back AFCON 2019 Qualifiers next month.
The Eagles will first host group leaders Libya before travelling for the reverse tie in Tunisia, three days ‎after the first game which will be played in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Amrouche who is keen on a result in Nigeria believe the key to keeping Nigeria at bay lies with keeping Musa in check due to his pace and finishing which has bailed the Super Eagles in recent times, notably the games against Argentina at the World Cup in Russia and against Seychelles as well.
A plan which involves doubling up on the speedy forward was discussed by the coach during his speech on the date they will open camp for training against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, who are presently third behind Libya and South Africa respectively.
Musa who normally operated from the left or right of Nigeria’s attack will no doubt face a more challenging and organised back line than the one he faces regularly in Saudi Arabia, where he has taken the league by storm since his move from Leicester City.
