The race for who will finish as top scorer in the Israel Liga Leumit for now appears to be a two horse race between the Nigerian duo of Williams Agada of Hapoel Katamon and Benjamin Kuku of Hapoel Kfar Saba.
Ironically, their clubs are also separated from each other by one spot on the table of the second division in Israel, same number that separates the duo in the top scorers chart after the last round of games in Israel.
First place Hapoel Kfar Saba pulled a transfer coup when they signed Kuku on a free transfer after his exit from Sepsi of Romania and he has responded with five goals in six games, which makes him the top scorer in the division.
Second placed Hapoel Katamon signed Nigerian striker Williams Agada 18 months ago from Mighty Jets of Jos and after his failure to bag a deal at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he spent a season on loan with their youth team he has returned to Katamon, and he presently has four goals from six games.
