Freshly invited Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Samuel Chukwueze played his first La Liga game for Spanish side Villarreal as they forced Levante to a 1-1 draw at home to Levante.
Chukwueze was on from the start and the 19 year old operated from the left flank although he drifts into the middle most times to influence play just like he did in the Copa Del Rey game against Almeria where he scored his first goal in a 3-3 draw.
He lasted the entire duration of the game but his lively display was partly the reason why Villarreal were rescued from defeat thanks to a late goal by Alfonso Pedraza which cancelled out a Ramiro Funes Mori own goal.
After the game the Nigerian was rated by Whoscored.com as the best player on the pitch for Villarreal with a rating of 8.0 over 10, more than any player on the pitch for the Yellow Submarines.
Moses Simon was rested by Levante after his involvement in the Copa Del Rey on Wednesday as he continue to work his way into the starting line up following his transfer from Belgium side Gent in the summer.
