Spanish La Liga side Villarreal are facing the prospect of losing their 19 year old teen wonder Samuel Chukwueze who is yet to sign a new contract at the club, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report.
His current deal at the club runs out next year and despite the club tabling an offer to extend his deal, the agent of the left footed forward is yet to agree to the terms proposed by Villarreal.
Chukwueze is enjoying his breakthrough season at the club, a little over a year after he joined them from Diamond Academy in Enugu. He rose from the U19s to the first team in less than a year.
A new deal with a new buy out clause has been tabled to the forward and his representatives but for now an agreement is far between both parties due to the difference in their valuation of the forward.
Rated as one of the top teens in the La Liga this season, he will be free to have a pre contract agreement with interested clubs outside Spain from the 1st of January, something that has further heaped pressure on Villarreal.
