19 year old Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze enhanced his rating as one of the top emerging forward in Spanish football with the opening goal for Villarreal in their 2-0 win over Spartak Moscow.
The Nigerian put his team on the way to victory with a well taken strike in the 11th minute from a move he started in his own half. He perfectly controlled a deflected effort before placing a left foot effort into the net to break the deadlock.
His goal increased his tally for the season to four goals in all competitions with two coming in the La Liga while the other came in the Copa Del Rey first leg clash against Almeria.
The win was secured for Villarreal in the 71st minute when Karl Toko Ekambi scored the second goal which helped them secured all three points and send Spartak Moscow out of the tournament.
Villarreal by virtue of the win finished top of their group while Rapid Wien joined them in the round of 32 from Group G after their 1-0 win over Rangers of Scotland.
