Nigeria international defender Jamilu Collins of second division German side Paderborn has been voted as the best full back in the division, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Collins who has thrice made the team of the week in the division was picked owing to his fine performance in his debut season in the division, which has already earned him four caps with the senior national team of Nigeria.
24 year old Collins who has been linked with a move to Bundesliga side Stuttgart in the January transfer window won’t be allowed to leave the club until at least the summer, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The Super Eagles first choice left full back is expected to command a fee in the region of €5m but Paderborn will only listen to offers for him in the summer as they view him as one player who could help their quest to at least make the promotion play off at the end of the season.
Although Paderborn are yet to receive any bid for him officially, they have however aware of the fact that he has been roundly scouted by top clubs in the Bundesliga.
