Levante has turned down a loan bid from French Ligue 1 side Reims for Nigeria international wing forward Moses Simon, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Reims made their approach for the forward last week but were told in clear terms that he is not available as he features heavily in the plans of the first team coach at the club.
Simon has not enjoyed a regular run of games at the club in the league despite impressing in the games he has played in the Copa Del Rey before their exit from the tournament in the hands of defending champions Barcelona.
According to Mohammed Mowiz Suleman, Reims were not the only club that failed with a bid for the winger as Turkish duo Fenerbahce and Besiktas were also told he isn’t available for loan.
In the coming months Simon is expected to feature more for the team after the decision not to let him leave on loan to a club where he is guarantee regular playing time.
