Last season top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) Junior Lokosa is struggling to match his feat in Nigeria with Esperance of Tunisia following his move to the team in January, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Since his move he has only played twice out of a possible nine games with a combined total of 93 minutes with no goal to his name so far for the CAF Champions League champions.
25 year old Lokosa was signed to ease the goal scoring problem of the team but since his bit part role at the team has already led to talks of a possible loan to where he will be able to get game time to help his adaptation.
Last season the 25 year old scored a total of 19 goals for NPFL side Kano Pillars despite the league ending with nine games less due to the leadership crisis that engulfed Nigeria football after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Signed on an initial two year deal with the option of extending base on success, he made the 35 man provisional list of the senior national team of Nigeria for the World Cup but didn’t make the final squad for the tournament.
