Super Eagles of Nigeria left full back Jamilu Collins says he is not thinking of the possibility of leaving promotion chasing German second division side Paderborn despite interest from teams in the Bundesliga, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Paderborn are eyeing back to back promotion as they are third in the second division, one spot and two point behind Hamburg who are second and occupying the final automatic promotion spot.
Collins who has been ever present for the team in after gaining promotion with the team from the third division last season was yet again inspirational for the team as they secure a vital 2-1 win against Holstein Kiel.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com after the game, the 24 year old said he is not interested in talks over a move away from the club where he has a deal till the summer of 2021.
” I’m aware of interest from teams in the Bundesliga but my focus is on helping Paderborn make the Bundesliga at the end of the season. The team gave me the platform to excel so I am no way in a hurry to leave them now that we can gain promotion to the Bundesliga”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
