The Super Eagles of Nigeria had their second training session in Egypt ahead of their campaign at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and as usual Owngoalnigeria.com have obtained the details of the session.
We gathered the boys had a mini practice match among themselves as they continue to fine tune their strategy for their second friendly game which will be against Senegal on Saturday.
One thing that was noticeable during the session that lasted close to two hours was the way Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze played simple as opposed to his swashbuckling style of play seen in their previous sessions.
He released the ball on time and although he took on the players he was up against when in tight spaces, generally he was more conservative than he has ever been since the start of training for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Chukwueze was probably heeding to warning from his teammates who had warned him to cut down on his dribbles in training as he stand the chance of getting himself injured from desperate teammates with one of his teammates telling him to remember that no card is given for rough tackles during training.
It appears the 20 year old has now shelve his dribbling skills for the tournament proper but many will still expect him to turn on the style when they take on Senegal on Saturday in their final warm up game before the start of the AFCON tournament in Egypt.
