As Nigerians continue to face untold hardship over the biting effect of the outbreak of Corona Virus in the country, Super Eagles forward and Nantes Loanee once again showed his philanthropic side, as he dipped into his pockets to splash out palliatives to Nigerians.

The France-based star doled out two million naira, as four hundred people benefitted from his benevolence.
Speaking to OwngoalNigeria.com, Simon said he has been following the news about COVID-19 in Nigeria and he feels totally distraught about the pains most Nigerians are going through, especially with lockdown orders in some part of the country.

He said “I feel the pains of my countrymen. A lot of people earn what they ate on a daily basis and it means their survivals hangs on the balance in this period.

“This is why I had to do my little bit to help those I can. Sometimes we give, not because we have so much, but because we know what it feels not to have at all”.

Simon went on to urge all Nigerians to obey the sit at hom orders and follow other health advice from authorities.

“Nigerians need to obey the government and do the needful. I know it is difficult but this is the best way to curtail this before we over-stretch our medical system. This disease is not funny, Africa must do all it can to avoid its spread”.
Before the French Ligue 1 was suspended, Simon bagged 5 league goals and 5 assists for Nantes.
