Portuguese second division side Leixões have taken a huge step towards the permanent signing of 19 year old Nigerian forward Morufdeen Moshood after his remarkable loan spell at the club, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The 19 year old joined the team on a season-long loan deal in January from Beyond Limit FA, the nursery team of Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars and wasted no time in making his mark at the club.

He finished the season with 20 goals in 15 games playing for the B team and the U19 of the team that finished 9th in the second division last season. He will now join the first team for pre season ahead of his elevation to the team next season.

Speaking on his permanent move to the team Moshood said he is grateful to all his coaches and teammates, who were all part of his stunning performance last season as he looks ahead to doing more next season.

“I am very grateful to Leixões for everything he is doing for me. I was very well received and everyone helps me to evolve, as a player and a person. I am grateful to this whole structure for making me so happy and cherished”, he said.

“My  job is to score goals and I love what I do. I love scoring goals and winning games. I will continue to fight at the limits to take advantage of all the opportunities they give me, always with the aim of helping Leixões,” he rounded up saying moments after signing the dotted line on a permanent deal.
