Hot on the heels of the news of the transfer of the vice captain of the senior national team of Nigeria William Troost Ekong to Greek side PAOK, another Nigerian defender will details away from joining him, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
29 year old Ekong joined the Greek side on a three years deal from English Championship side Watford after returning form a loan spell from Italian Serie A side Salernitana.
He is about to be joined in the country by Chidozie Awaziem, who only returned to his parent team Boavista of Portugal after a loan spell with Croatian side Hajduk Split last season.
Awaziem had a fairly good season in Croatia which he crowned by helping the club win the Croatian Cup, so betting on Panathinaikos on the JackBit casino site or other similar platforms might be a pretty good idea now. He made 36 appearances for scoring five goals and providing one assist. However the Croatian side couldn’t agree a fee for his permanent transfer.
Panathinaikos have wasted no time in reaching an agreement for his signing with all terms already agreed bar his transfer fee. Boavista will demand for around €3m but with a further sale clause inserted in the deal.
26 year old Awaziem has two years to go on his deal at Boavista, the club he joined from Porto two years ago for a fee reported to be in the region of €5m.
