Ivorian Star Defender Mocks Nigeria Ahead Of AFCON Final – Super Eagles Are Not Sure They Can Win

The star defender of the senior national team of Cote d’Ivoire Wily Boly says the Super Eagles of Nigeria are not confident of beating them again when both teams clash in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Ivory Coast will be hoping for a revenge after losing 0-1 to Nigeria in their second group game of the tournament. They managed to scrape through to the knock out stage and will now hope to go one step further by lifting the trophy, which will see them equal the number of trophy of their opponent on Sunday.

Despite the odds favoring Nigeria going by the fact that they are still unbeaten in the tournament and have only conceded one goal in open play. Boly who is a teammate of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina at Nottingham Forest believe the Nigerians are not entirely confident coming into this game.

“I think when we you lose in the group stage its totally different,” the Nottingham Forest star told journalists. Now it’s going to be one game and I think both teams can win”, he told journalists.

“I don’t think Nigeria is 100% sure they can win the game, now it will be 50-50, and hopefully we are the ones who win this time.

“I won’t say we have the confidence, but we trust our quality to be able to win this cup,” Boly added.

“We’re a good team that can win and we know that it’s been nine years since we have last won AFCON, so it will be difficult to win it, but when you see how we got here, it was difficult for us and because of this I believe that it will be fantastic for us to win the title.”
