Despite the numerous reports and unveiling of Obafemi Martins as a player of Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, head coach of Seattle Sounders Sigi Schmid isn’t the deal is yet to be finalised.
Martins posted a goodbye tweet to the club on social media platform twitter and the Chineses side subsequently unveiled him and also confirmed his signing on their official twitter handle.
They are even reports the 31 year old Nigerian who has been Seattle Sounders top scorer since joining the team three years ago is already training with the team in South Korea where they are presently on a pre season tour.
However Sigi Schmid still can’t confirm Martins departure or if trialist Michael Farfan tipped to replace Martins will be signed.
“There’s nothing final on that, so I can’t really say anything” He said after their 4-0 win over LA Galaxy.
