On loan Manchester City striker Olarewaju Kayode has gotten his first La-Liga team of the week nomination following his performance for Girona in their 2-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna.
Kayode was voted Man of the Match in the game, after he earned his side a penalty from which they took the lead before setting up the winner which earned his side a memorable three point.
His performance has earned him a team of the week nomination, alongside four Barcelona stars in Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Lucas Digne and Javier Mascherano, with Real Madrid Sergio Ramos also in the team.
The 24 year old Nigerian will spend the season on loan to Girona before returning to Manchester City at the end of the season to fight for a spot in the team of the current Premier League leaders.
