The Super Eagles of Kaduna had their first training session at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and Owngoalnigeria.com was there and now bring to you the main talking points of the session.

22 players and three goalkeppers participated in the two hour session with Alex Iwobi watching on as he recovers from a stomach upset issue while Elderson Echiejile missed out as he was yet to arrive the team camp.

The training started with light drills with the ball before the players were divided into two teams seperated by bibs and made to play within a tight space with the coach Samson Siasia also participating in the exercise.

Later the three goalkeppers namely Carl Ikeme,Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa left the outfield players to have drills with their goalkepper trainer Alloy Agu at one end of the pitch.

Siasia later took a back seat and allowed his assistant Emmanuel Amuneke to handle a tactical drill that involves wingers and full backs whipping crosses in from passes supplied by those in the middle to the strikers.

Ighalo was particularly wasteful although he scored more goals (4) than Fanendo Adi who only twiced put the ball in the net from crosses coming in from the wings.

After the drill they were then splitted into two teams of 11 players each and had a short practice match which ended 1-1 with Victor Moses scoring for the all white off a cross from Adi while Kelechi Iheanacho leveled scores for the team in bib with a neat low drive that flew past Ikeme.

Moses Simon was particularly impressive playing from the left of the team in bib effortlessly getting past Etim Matthew who was playing the right full back role of the all white team.

Stanley Amuzie also showed his ball playing abilities as a defender and contributed a lot to the attack by constantly overlapping while Aminu Umar was way too busy, lively and daring.

THE TEAMS:

(All White): Carl Ikeme,Etim Matthew,Stanley Amuzie,Efe Ambrose,Godfrey Obaboana,Okechukwu Azubuike,Ifeanyi Matthew,Aminu Umar,Victor Moses,Aaron Samuel, Fanendo Adi.

(In Bib): Daniel Akpeyi,Chibuzor Okonkwo,Shehu Abdullahi,Kalu Orji,Eddy Onazi,Mikel Obi,Kelechi Iheanacho,Ogenekaro Etebo,Moses Simon,Ahmed Musa,Odion Ighalo.
