Super Eagles left full back Elderson Echiejile was shown the second red card of his career in a bad tempered game that ended with Monaco losing 4-1 to Lille.
Echiejile was one of the two players sent off in the game with Lille’s Renato Civelli sent off ten minutes before the dismissal of the Nigerian.
The last time he was sent off in a game was in 2013 when he was playing for Portuguese side Sporting Braga until the 65th minute of today’s game when he took the walk of shame against Lille.
In his absence, Monaco crumbled further from losing 1-0 to crashing heavily to a 4-1 loss against Lille who had Vincent Enyeama in goal for the entire duration of the game.
