Midtjylland forward Paul Onuachu says he believe he will be given a chance with the Super Eagles of Nigeria before the commencement of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Onuachu is presently the top scorer among Nigerian players in Europe with ten league goals to his name from 16 games, same tally he recorded last season from 22 games in the Danish League.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat, 24 year old Onuachu said he is optimistic of getting his chance with the senior national team of Nigeria in the nearest future even though he is yet to hear from coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr.
” I have not heard from the coach ( Rohr) but I believe I will get my chance soon all I have to do is to keep scoring goals and I will and that will no doubt make it hard for the coach not to invite me”, he said.
” My main focus in on doing well for Midtjylland and hopefully I will get a chance to show fans of the Super Eagles what I can do”, he concluded.
