The editorial staffs of Owngoalnigeria.com are using this medium to apologise to its readers and Nigeria international Azubuike Egwuekwe for wrongly stating he score an own goal in KuPS 2-3 loss at home to PK-35 Vantaa.
Teammate to Egwuekwe, Aliyu Abubakar in a telephone chat with Owngoalnigeria.com corrected our story clearly stating that the own goal was scored by Boubacar Diallo and not his Nigerian colleague.
“Senior man Azu (Egwuekwe) wasn’t the one who scored the own goal it was Diallo who was unfortunate to put the ball into our net, seeing reports that Azubuike was the one who scored the goal is very worrisome particularly as it was only reported in the Nigeria media”. He told the editor of Owngoalnigeria.com.
