Sunshine Stars defender Stephen Eze won’t be joining Israeli side MS Ashdod according to reports reaching Owngoalnigeria.com.
His dream of following the footsteps of Efe Ambrose,Juwon Oshaniwa,Emma Sarki and Aliyu Abubakar as Nigerians who have turned out for the Israeli side won’t be coming true as the club have reportedly signed a foreigner instead of the Nigerian.
He will return to Nigeria next week according to what we gathered as the club have already made up their mind not to sign him following a not too good showing in training.
Eze will however play a friendly game today but the newly promoted Isreali side opted to bring in another foreign player in his role, a Croatian who has played with the team first choice central defender in the past.
The towering centre back was a part of the Nigerian team to the last CHAN Championship in Rwanda which Nigeria failed to progress past the group stage.
