Less than 24 hours after Finnish team Kuopio Palloseura (KuPS) announced the signing of 24 year old Nigeria forward Gbolahan Salami, He has denied signing for the team.
Reports coming out of Nigeria monitored by owngoalnigeria.com has it the the last season Nigeria Premier League top scorer is still in talks with KuPS who are yet to send him a copy of the contract he is to sign.
The controversial striker nicknamed “Nigeria Balotelli” reportedly expressed dismay at the club announcing his signing while talks are still ongoing.
Owngoalnigeria.com spoke to a close pal of the Warri Wolves forward who confirmed Salami is yet to sign for KuPS.
“Talks are still ongoing and it might end well but their announcement is a bit premature as he is also in talks with other teams although he had very good discussion with KuPS” He told owngoalnigeria.
