A cross section of West Ham fans took to twitter to air their impression about their winter signing Emmanuel Emenike who made his debut for the team in their 0-1 loss to Southampton in the English Premier League.
Emenike was introduced by manager Slaven Bilic in the second half for Michail Antonio in the 73rd minute with the Hammers trailing the Saints by a lone goal and five minutes later wasted a glorious chance to draw his team level when he headed wide from inside the 16 yard box of Southampton after a neat cross from the right.
The miss drew reactions and criticism from the fans of West Ham on twitter with most agreeing he should have buried the chance while a few others were of the opinion he had little time to judge the flight of the ball before he headed the ball.
However one thing almost all of them agreed to was his all round bustling style which made him see much of the ball and also gave Southampton defenders trouble especially his strength in holding onto the ball under a challenge.
