Nassarawa United right full back Thomas Zenke is expected back in Nigeria after turning down a contract from Malta based Mosta FC.
Zenke whose elder brother Simon plays in Turkey missed the Super 4 championship in Kaduna as he was in Malta for negotiations with Mosta but talks didn’t progress as planned.
The Ex Enyimba and ABS defender according to information gathered by owngoalnigeria.com was left disappointed after learning what he will be earning which was far less than what he was told when he agreed to travel to Malta.
He will now return to Nigeria to boost Nassarawa United title aspirations and help them to have a successful campaign in the CAF Confederations cup after playing most of their games last season.
Mosta of late have had a bad relationship with Nigeria players firing six of them after a failed agreement with a Nigerian investor who failed to provide the cash backing after an agreement.
