Nigeria youth international Abdullahi Alfa who recently agreed a two year deal with Latvia’s top division team Ventspils have concluded his move.
The move already agreed as exclusively reported by owngoalnigeria.com few days ago was rubber stamped yesterday after a routine medical check up and the issuance of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Faisal Abdullahi who conducted the transfer told owngoalnigeria.com that Latvia is a stepping stone for the 19 year old before he launch himself into main stream Europe.
“You have to understand sometimes that players like him need a platform to launch their club career in Europe by moving to leagues and teams where they are guarantee to get games and develop further ” He told owngoalnigeria.com.
Faisal Abdullahi who did five deals in the January transfer window is optimistic that Alfa will shine for Ventspils both domestically and in European competition.
“The one thing I can guarantee is that he will be a big hit in Latvia be it in the league or European games he is that talented”.
