Manchester City 19 year old Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho showed a lot of the reasons during training with the Super Eagles why he is so highly rated when it comes to goal scoring.
The Korea 2013 U-17 golden ball winner is at the moment scoring with most of his shot at goal during practices as his shootings are usually precise with pace and power.
During yesterday’s drill he scored against all the three goalkeppers in camp with the team and even when one of his effort was saved by Carl Ikeme it brought out the best in the Wolverhampton Wanderers shot stopper.
Iheanacho during the practice game yesterday played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium drew his team level with a goal that once again show why he is such a top level teen.
Playing in a two man attack alongside Odion Ighalo he raced onto a through ball from Mikel Obi took a step past Godfrey Obaboana and just when it appears he has lost the chance blasted a left footed shot that flew past Ikeme leaving him with no chance.
It’s yet to be seen if his good form will earn him a spot in the starting line up or probably a substitute appearance in the game against Egypt on the 25th and 29th in Kaduna and Akexandria respectively.
