John Obi Mikel was at the receiving end of a harsh comment from a journalist who questioned why the Chelsea star was made captain of the Super Eagles.
A journalist (name withheld) from a popular print outfit in Nigeria during the pre match conference of the Super Eagles ahead of tomorrow’s game against Egypt said it’s unfortunate Ahmed Musa was stripped of his captaincy for Mikel.
The journalist faulted Mikel’s big ego as why he isn’t fit to be the Super Eagles captain, a statement that drew him condemnation from other journalist present at the event.
However Mikel after the pre-match conference walked up to the journalist after the press conference and after a firm handshake praised him for his question by saying “Thumbs up bro, nice question”.
