Despite the arguments by the camp of sacked NFF president, Amaju Pinnick,Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively confirm that the minister for Youths,Sports and Culture in Nigeria Solomon Dalung has given his blessings to Chris Giwa to take over as the head of the NFF.
This much we gathered from a member of the Chris Giwa camp who confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that the minister was informed from the very first day they assumed office.
“We wrote to the minister on Friday, same day we took over and he gave us his blessings, so regardless of what anybody thinks, we will resume office on Monday to begin the process of repositioning Nigeria football” He said on the condition of anonymity.
However our checks at the NFF secretariat revealed the premises have been shut down by the Nigeria Police Force as the battle for who controls the football board continues with both parties arguing their case.
