Nigeria National league side Cofine FC have appointed former Super Eagles assistant manager Valerie Houandinou as their coach ahead of the start of the league this weekend.
Cofine FC are new to the Nigeria league system after buying the slot of defunct Sharks of Porthacourt some few months ago.
Valerie became an ally of former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi since their path crossed during the coach’s tenure as coach of the Togolese national team.
The Togolese followed Keshi to Mali and later Nigeria before Keshi was sacked as coach of the national team of Nigeria a year ago.
He has coaching experience in Togo and his match reading abilities is partly the reason why Keshi always want him around as an assistant.
