According to leaks exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, Enugu Rangers are closing in on a deal for Giwa FC forward David Sunday.
Rangers are keen on strengthening their forward line and the pacy striker is one of the name on their list in this mid season transfer window which closes in a week’s time.
Sunday could join Rangers on a free transfer if Giwa FC fail to overturn their expulsion from the Nigeria Professional Football League with their appeal set to be heard soon.
The Jos based side were thrown out of the Nigeria League for missing three consecutive home games in a row but the League Management Company (LMC), the body responsible for running the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) confirmed their appeal with but a date is yet to be set for it to be heard.
If their ban is upheld, players of the team will be free to join any club of their choice on a free transfer even after the closure of the mid season transfer window.
