Hot in demand Nigerian forward Friday Fred who plays for Lillestroem of Norway says it is a nice feeling to be linked with top clubs in the light of reports of interest in his services from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
21 year old Fred is linked with a move to the team that finished 4th last season in the Dutch Eredivisie as a potential replacement for Wolfsburg target Vincent Janseen who will most likely depart the AFAS Stadion outfit this summer.
Owngoalnigeria.com asked Fred who has taken the first stanza of the league in Norway by storm with 8 goals in his first 12 games of the season how he feels to be linked with a top team like AZ Alkmaar.
“I truly don’t know what to say but it’s nice to be linked with a big team” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
The forward who is presently in England on holiday before the resumption of the league in Norway moved to Lillestroem in 2013 but never really got going until last season when he finished the season with 11 goals from 26 games.
This season he is well on course to double that tally if he maintains his current form in front of goal as he is just three goals short after 12 games.
