Recuperating Nigerian teen Nura Abdullahi has been included by manager Luciano Spalleti for camping with the first team of AS Roma in a pre season training camp which will take place in Pinzolo.
The Nigerian, a product of Football Academy Abuja picked up a nasty injury and he is presently ahead of schedule in his recovery after surgery two months into the six months he was supposed to spend on the sidelines.
Linked with a move to Barcelona after impressing against their B team in a Uefa Youth League game, a surgery to correct a minor heart defect put a hold on talks progressing any further.
However he has made a full recovery from the surgery and Roma moved quickly to turn his loan deal from Spezia into a permanent one a sign of how much the rate the right full back.
Nura was a part of Alberto De Rossi title winning Primavera side and has been drafted alongside 9 other members of the team to make up for the absence of national team players who have been given extended break following their involvement in the European championship.
He was included in the training camp even though his injury means he won’t be able to feature in any of their friendly game during the camping exercise as his inclusion was mainly done to allow the first team doctor monitor his progress and recovery rate.
