20 year old Nigerian midfielder Uche Agbo put pen to paper on a five year deal with English Premiership side Watford but will stay on a season long loan at Spanish La-Liga side Granada, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Agbo’s five year deal is similar to that of Malian whizkid Aly Malle who joined recently joined Watford but was immediately loaned to Granada as the 18 year old isn’t qualified for a work permit to play in the English Premier League.
The former Nigeria U-20 ace is one of the players Granada are banking on this season to fire them to new height after his permanent elevation to the first team towards the end of last season when he made six appearances for the main team in addition to the 24 he made for Granada II in the lower league.
The Pozzo family the former owners of Granada sold the club to Chinese investors in a deal reportedly worth €37m but still retained 49% stake in the club because of players movement.
Players such as Agbo, Youssef Al-Arabi,Penaranda among others were part of the deal as players owned by Watford but on a season long loan to Granada for the upcoming La-Liga season.
