The proposed transfer of Godwin Obaje and Chisom Egbuchulam to Tunisian top division side Club Africain has broken down, according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com.
Obaje finished as top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League with 18 goals for Wikki Tourist while Egbuchulam was second with 16 goals for league champions Enugu Rangers.
They were expected to pen high paying deal with Club Africain, but after almost two weeks of negotiations the club opt against handing contract to the duo according to Owngoalnigeria.com transfer expert Daniel Martins.
” The move is off. The deal won’t happen, as a matter of fact the last time I checked they were getting set to return back to Nigeria, they could return this weekend all things been equal”, Martins told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” For now I don’t have clear details of what lead to the collapse of the move, but an unofficial source told me it is somehow connected to their initial failed attempt to join Etoile du Sahel, the rivals of Club Africain”.
