Hertha Berlin highly rated 19 year old defender Jordan Torunarigha could be in line for a shock call up to the Super Eagles, Owgoalnigeria.com understands.
We gathred that coach of the senior Nigeria team Gernot Rohr received glowing reports about the German born defender, who is comfortable as a left full back or central defender.
Torunarigha is yet to play for the German Bundesliga side but he has sufficiently impressed the technical crew of the team, as he has made the matchday squad of the team on several occassion.
Standing at an impressive height of 189cm, he is the son of former Shooting Stars man Ojokojo Torunarigha, who starred for the Ibadan side in the 80’s.
However Nigeria need to fend off interest from Germany who have already capped the defender at youth level, with the press in Germany going as far as nicknaming him “Berlin Wall”.
