Wilfred Ndidi spectacular goal for Leicester City in their 3-1 FA Cup replay win over Derby County took a whole lot of people by surprise including ace commentator Martin Tyler.
Ndidi received a pass from Riyad Mahrez some metres into the half of Derby County and drove forward in bullish mood before unleashing a thunderous left foot strike, which sailed into the net to give Leicester City a 2-1 lead in extra-time.
The Nigerian was 282 seconds on the pitch when he scored, and just like most people who saw the game, Tyler was also taken aback by the strike, and reacted to it with a statement that ended up as a trend on social media platform twitter.
Tyler’s words were short but captivating as the ace commentator appeared to be short of words, he simply said ” Oh Yes Ndidi”.
#YesNdidi started trending almost immediately on twitter, and even the official handle of Leicester City also captured it in their post match picture post.
