Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme has been voted the player of the season in Israel following his sterling display for newly crowned league champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
In a pool conducted by One.co.il, the Nigerian got 36.5% of the total vote cast by 250 thousand readers of the site which largely covers the league in Israel.
Nwakaeme ended the season with 14 goals in the league, a ratio of a goal ever 2, 563 minutes, he also had 10 assist, 54 shots on target and completed 1,003 passes.
The forward is reportedly one of the players coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is considering to boost the attack of the Super Eagles when the qualifiers for AFCON 2017 starts, and the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers resumes.
