The yet to be settled dispute between U.S. based First Eleven Management and Stellar Group over the image rights of out of favour Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho will stall his proposed move away from the club.
In December, Iheanacho who is linked with a move to German side Hoffenheim and Borrusia Dortmund asked a Pennysylvania court to dissolve his contract with First Eleven and all the parties involved, while also demanding punitive damages and other expenses.
A ruling is yet to be given by the club, a move which could stall any potential transfer away from the club as clubs need to know who represents him before talks can be concluded.
However a ruling is expected in two weeks time, meaning any potential transfer to either West Ham or Everton who have been linked with a move for him can’t be concluded at least for now.
20 year old Iheanacho missed out on a mega sponsorship deal due to the row between the agency, and will be keen for the issue to be resolved for him to face his main problem of getting his career back on track.
Since the start of the year, he has been sparingly used by manager Pep Guardiola who has so far played him in just 11 minutes as he has falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in the winter transfer window.
