Nigeria’s top scorer at the last Olympics in Rio Sadiq Umar says he is back at Roma following the expiration of his loan deal with fellow Serie A side Bologna.
20 year old Sadiq had an injury interrupted time at Bologna last season which made him lost his spot in the first team as he spent close to six months on the sidelines.
Speaking to popular Kaduna journalist Mohammed Suleiman of Liberty Radio in Kaduna, the giant striker revealed he is back at Roma and will hopefully join the team when they resume for pre season training in two weeks time.
” My loan spell with Bologna didn’t go too well. Injuries slowed me down, I’m fully fit now and back at Roma. Hopefully I will travel to team up with them for pre season”, he said on the sidelines during the showpiece game organised in Kaduna by Moses Simon.
” There’s a new coach at Roma and that means a fresh start for everybody, I’m eager, fully fit and rearing to prove my worth to him if given the chance in pre season”.
