20 year old Mu’azam caught the attention of the team’s scout during the Super Eagles camping exercise and friendly games against Corsica and Togo in France.
According to our correspondent, the team have already contacted a highly placed individual at Akwa United in view of making the deal work.
Mu’azam is presently the second highest goal scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with 11 goals despite not playing as a top striker.
He earned praise from the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr for his performance with the Super Eagles before their game against South Africa, but failed to make the matchday squad for the game Nigeria lost 0-2 to South Africa.
