Francis Odinaka Uzoho enhanced his reputation as a future first choice goalkeeper of La-Liga side Deportivo La Coruna by posting a superlative performance in their 6-1 win over Bergantinos in a pre season friendly.
Just like his first game for the team in pre season, the 18 year old kept another clean sheet in the second half when he was introduced as his team have already conceded before his introduction.
Uzoho used his frame to good effect in duels and his firm grip helped him in guarding his box with ease. He also impressed in the few occasions he had to deal with crosses.
Overall he didn’t have much to do, but the reserve goalkeeper for Nigeria at the 2013 U17 World Youth Championship has no doubt established himself as a first team player in just a year at the club, following his signing from Aspire Academy last summer.
Already he has graduated from the U-18s of the team to the Reserve team which also means he is now officially the third choice goalkeeper for the first team.
