The decision of Samuel Adegbenro to join Rosenborg from Viking instead of Turkish side Bursaspor has been explained by the camp of the player.
Adegbenro was locked in talks with Bursaspor, but with the move making sufficient progress towards the end of last week, it surprisingly fell through as the forward joined Rosenborg instead.
” They (Bursaspor) failed to agree a fee with Viking for his services, it dragged on for too long and Rosenborg stepped in with exactly what Viking are demanding for his services”, a source told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” It’s normal for Adegbenro to opt for Rosenborg because the faith they have in him played a part in their decision to meet his asking price unlike Bursaspor.
” He will no doubt do well at Rosenborg and it could be the spring board to take him to a league that his qualities and abilities deserve in the nearest future “.
