The coach of English Championship side Hull City has dropped a big hint on the potential loan signing of Nigeria international Ahmed Musa from Leicester City.
Musa has been linked with a move to the Championship side where he will be reunited with Leonid Slutsky the coach who signed him for CSKA Moscow, and played a part in his development.
The striker has failed to nail down a permanent spot in the Leicester City line up since his 16 million pounds move from the Russian side, with new coach Craig Shakespeare leaving him out of his matchday squad last season.
Shakespeare didn’t name him in his matchday squad for the first game of the English Premier League season, and according to Slutsky Hull City could sign a player on loan from a Premier League club before the end of the transfer window.
“We have some loan options and maybe at the end of the transfer window getting players from the Premier League is possible,” said Slutsky, following Hull’s 3-2 defeat to Wolves.
“We are waiting for the decision of big clubs on some players.
“He is not our player but, of course, every coach is better working with players he knows and I worked with Musa for four years. I know him and he knows me, it is normal. His position is not the only important one though in this situation.”
