The list been spread around by respected Nigerian journalist Wale Ajayi has been dismissed by Owngoalnigeria.com sources close to the players he claimed have been invited to the team for the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Cameroon.
Ajayi sent a mail to Owngoalnigeria.com where he listed Aaron Samuel as one of the players but a source close to the player said he hasn’t been contacted, hence he is not in the squad.
Joel Obi is one name listed by Ajayi, whom we can now confirm isn’t in the list even Ifeanyi Matthew who played for Lillestroem in Norway is also not in the list which is set to be released later today.
However Victor Osimhen of Wolfsburg made the cut as against several reports according to a source close to the player. He confirmed Osimhen has already received his invitation letter.
